Here's a fun site if you'd like to increase your vocabulary'
http://www.savethewords.org/
Click on a word to see a definition and example of its use. If you 'adopt' it, you promise to use it in conversation and writing as often as possible!
Some of those example sentences could be good story prompt ideas...

That's a brilliant site, womag! Not sure if I could ever remember any of those words though.
Geri
PS Just posted another womag related blogpost at www.strictly.writing.com
Geri, I've gone on that site and set up an account but how do I find your blogpost?
It's the current one entitled "Who is my reader?"

Some good words there, Womag. Smart site.
Stumbled upon your blog, and I love the 'save the words' link! I'm going to link it on my blog too as it exactly what I love, too; so thank so much for bringing it to my attention!
Best of luck with your writing.
Thanks, Geri. Got the dot in the wrong place there! That's a good blog but are the markets so rigidly defined, do you think? Don't older women sometimes like to read a story about a younger woman having boyfriend problems if it's amusing and well-written? After all, we don't stop enjoying Jane Austen and her oldest heroine is in her late twenties!
Too bad, the site is no longer working. This is supposed to be a helpful site. Anyway, I am part of an essay writers group. I have been writing for quite some time now and it's always nice to discover new words that I can use.
