Some good news
It feels like ages since I had any good news to report, but this week's been nice to me. I sold a story to My Weekly on Monday. Then I realised I hadn't yet sent them anything since the new guidelines came out, and thought I ought to use up my 'March' sub (they are only accepting one sub per month per author now - see post below). So I went through my 'in the drawer' folder, chose a suitable story and emailed it. I had a reply the very next day, saying my editor liked it and was passing it on to the senior editor for a decision. It seems they have managed to get on top of submissions after their break - hurray! Although I suspect the senior editor is still the bottleneck!

Congratulations on both counts!
Congratulations! What a good week for you! I don't think my editor even read my March submission, but I know she got it because I emailed to ask! I just get the impression everyone there is drowning in the tide of work and has no time for anything. It's good to know someone has had a recent positive experience from MW. Congratulations again!
Well done. That's brilliant!
Well done!
Congratulations on the sale, Womag!
Congratulations, Womag!
Well done, Womag! I haven't heard anything about my March sub either. Am just getting my April sub ready to send off next week.
Hey, great news. DId you send it direct to your ed or did you send it to the main address marked for the attention of your editor. I haven't heard a squeak about mine sent a few weeks ago...
Congratulations, Womag.
That's great news.
Excellent news
Congrats!!
Great, Womag!
Bit of good news for me: my first ever acceptance from a mag at My Weekly. Got the email yesterday. i've sold to The weekly News, but not to a Womag, so I'm chuffed to bits.
Brilliant news, well done :o)
Well done, Womag, you seem to have definitely cracked it as far as what they're looking for. Also congrats to Antonia.
