The next issue, out tomorrow, contains the winning story from the Writers' Forum Target Practice competition. So if you were curious - go buy the magazine!
I love checking this site for updates. But I'm curious if anyone knows of any of the foreign (I'm in USA - you're foreign) magazines are available in the US? Or is subscribing a better option to see what they're printing?
As far as I'm aware, I don't think any of the UK mags are available in the USA. You could subscribe - I would recommend subscribing to the fiction specials (WW FS and/or TAB Fiction Feast) if it is the fiction you are interested in. These are monthly/bi-monthly and are good value for money.
I subscribe so must be the edition that's now waiting for me to catch up on after returning from the Lake District this afternoon (together with my Writer's Forum).
Shirley, hi! All the women's mag requirements are on Womag's excellent site, but I'd be thrilled to know if there are equivalent markets in the U.S. It doesn't seem to me that there are. Am I wrong?
Regarding US True Confessions/True Romance magazine...I had an acceptance recently (nice helpful editors by the way) but withdrew it from publication after receiving my contract only to find they want to buy ALL Copyright. No way! I know some writers will disagree and maybe it is a way of finding a home for all those stories that have been rejected elsewhere but if you have a fresh story, think long and hard about signing. It'll mean you wont be able to send it anywhere else ever...unless you can do a clever edit and make it seem like a fresh story. The fee they offered me was roughly £60. I can sell a story to 4 or 5 countries and make a lot more, thank you!
Click to buy from Amazon. Features stories by many womag writers, including myself. This is a charity anthology with profits going to a breast cancer charity.

I'll definately be getting a copy.
I've read the story and was very impressed by it. Beautifully written.
I'll be off to get my copy later!
Getting mine tomorrow - I'm always curious to see what the editor was after!
I'll be getting a copy. I read a snippet of the winner's story in Writers' Forum and it sounded great :o)

Thanks in advance.
Howdy, American visitor!
