On writing serials

Excellent post here from Della Galton on writing serials for the women's magazines.

Great but one thing that needs adding is that unlike a short story, the editor works with the writer on a serial.
I've found this really useful as you get some professional input as you work.
An outline is written, then approved before you start writing part one. Part one is approved before moving onto part two.
I'm currently on my third serial and this time it's a four parter. I feel I've learned so much from the process.
