Double down under!

I'm grinning ear to ear today, having sold two stories to That's Life Fast Fiction (Australia) for their Summer issue, out in December.

I've also heard of three other blogging pals who'll be in that issue. All four of us are in the Story-A-Fortnight group, and most of the stories bought by TL are from that group. Proof that getting together with other writers to motivate and encourage each other, as well as critting each others' stories, definitely works!

Congratulations, Womag!

I've got a story in that issue too. Maybe the Aussies will get their own back by flooding My weekly?

Congratulations Womag!
I just want to say thanks too, Womag, once again, for your inspiring blog!
I am reeling after receiving my first acceptance! Yeah!!!!
It's with Peoples Friend, it was my third attempt with the same story, and I only re submitted after reading that it's ok to do so with PF, even for a third time, and it paid off!
I'm still grinning cheshire cat style!
So thanks everyone, the message on here is always, don't give up, and I'm glad I didn't, it's only taken me about 8 years :) :)

me too! Although I hope this isn't turning into a bragspot - it might be off-putting for those still not gettng published. Just a thought.

I'd like to think it's motivating rather than off-putting! Reading posts like these in the days before I was published gave me hope :o)

Well done all! It's a lovely magazine.

I certainly don't think celebrating success is a bad thing at all. Isn't that what we're all striving for? Anyone coming to this blog will get so much helpful advice and information and hopefully will be inspired to find that there is light at the end of what can be a very long tunnel.

Well done Patsy - I look forward to sharing pages with you!

Yee Haa Penandpaints - well done for perservering! I think People's Friend is one of the hardest mags to crack so doubly well done.

SarahE - I post about significant hits only(and I think 2 in one issue is significant for me) and I do hope it encourages and motivates rather than puts people off. There's definitely a lot more in this blog than bragging, and I will try to keep the balance right.

Thank you,Womag,
I'm still smiling!!
I must say PF are very helpful with their comments. (Thank goodness), and I don't think it's bragging to share good news :o)

Congratulations on the Peoples Friend. I think it's great to share good news and it gives everyone hope (that maybe one day WW will publish something of mine!) and also that it's real people subbing out there NOT just the Fiction Editor's best friends (as I used to think on my more bitter days!).
