Snow in Bournemouth

View from the clifftop at the end of our road - mile upon mile of pristine white.....snow?!

Last year Bournemouth received its first snow for 30 years - just one inch. Last night we had over 4 inches, catching up with the rest of the country!

There really is something utterly magical about snow on a beach, isn't there? Am proper jealous!

Lovely picture. We've got snow in Pompey too - very unusual for this time of year.

Fantastic photo. I was up to my knees in the stuff when I was walking the dog this afternoon and as we have had it for a week now I really want to see the back of it. Sorry to be a killjoy. It is very pretty though and that snow on the beach is amazing.

Ooh it looks rather gorgeous. I wouldn't fancy a paddle at the moment though!

Wow - what a great pic!! We here in north of the river London and Herts are making do with a few centimetres of snow! :-) But it still feels very chrismassy!!!

Take care

Oh, that's just lovely.

Sorry, am going to join Colette in the killjoy's corner: We've had way too much snow - were stuck for 5 days this past week. It's gone all horrible and dirty now and showing no signs of melting. We're all hoping for a weekend tropical heatwave so we can get to work on Monday.

It actually last snowed in Bournemouth (before 2009) back in 1998.I agree it doesn't snow very often though
