Happy New Year!

Time for the annual declaration of writing resolutions for the year ahead. This year you'll find it over on my other blog kathleenmcgurl.com.

And if you need help to achieve your writing resolutions for 2015, my little book on time management might help. Give Up Ironing - you know you want to!

What are your aims for the year? Whatever they are, best of luck with everything!

I had quite a good year in 2014, so I'm going to stick with the same aims and goals but try to put in just a little more effort.

Happy New Year! I refuse to make resolutions because they are a often a recipe for disappointment. However, I plan to stay as fit and healthy as I can be, have fun and improve my writing output and standards. Onwards and upwards.

Happy New Year, Kath, and lots of success this year.

I have two longer length projects to get on with, and hopefully complete- fortunately I don't iron! :D

New Year resolutions - so many. Keep my husband as well as possible, finish the sequel to my children's books before the readers are old enough to be grandmothers!

My main aim is to complete the first draft of my novel which will only happen if I manage my time better, too.
Happy New Year! Am loving 'The Emerald Comb' by the way.

Happy New Year!

And a bit of a thank you is in order. At the end of last year I discovered your page and toyed with the idea of writing short stories for women's magazines...

Anyway, I wrote one on the first or second of January and sent it off to That's Life (the Australian magazine) and have just received an email saying they're considering publishing it in their winter collection...

So thank you very much for the inspiration... at least I've stuck to one of my resolutions ;)

I was definitely pleasantly surprised, especially by how quickly I got a response. I've read some horror stories about people getting an offer more than a year later, so ten or eleven days shocked me!

Also, That's Life Fast Fiction has a new editor in the shape of Katherine Davis. She seems lovely and her email was one of the friendliest I've ever received.

So fingers crossed for a successful year with That's Life for everyone on this page!
