I received a reply today to the effect that my copy had arrived safely and was with the Features Team. 15 weeks so far. But as Kate says, it can take a while for a decision to be made. They did take a long time to reply - that's because they never know far in advance if they'll use it or not; articles get fitted in when there is space. It may be that they won't reply if they're not going to use it, I don't know, but you could get good news months after submission.
