Playful opportunities

Opportunities for writers

From Fiona - There are a few things on the BBC writers website that might be of interest for any blog readers wanting to do something a bit different. Could maybe adapt a story?

I thought this one looked good. It's for very short plays. Each succesful submission will receive a £70 license fee.

  4. Many thanks Patsy. I'll have a good look at these later. I have some short pieces of drama that may suit. Has anyone heard the result of the last Irish country mag competition?

  6. Thanks for the competitions.
I had my first ALCS payment, which was a lovely surprise. Having only signed up last year, I wasn’t expecting anything. I wouldn’t have known about it without this blog. So, thank you, Patsy.

  7. Thanks, Patsy. I keep intending to write a play or script, and attended a play-writing workshop a couple of years ago, but I still haven't written anything. I'm tied up with a couple of projects at the moment, but I should really have a crack at a play or script when I have more time. Liz

  10. Thanks, Patsy. Just wondering if anyone here can confirm what the current rights situation is with Fiction Feast - do they take 'All Rights'? I haven't submitted to them for a long, long, time and spotted a Sally Jenkins post somewhere that says they 'Take All Rights'. Many thanks for your advice. Good wishes. Kate Hogan.
