Opportunities for writers
From Fiona - There are a few things on the BBC writers website that might be of interest for any blog readers wanting to do something a bit different. Could maybe adapt a story?
I thought this one looked good. It's for very short plays. Each succesful submission will receive a £70 license fee.Free entry competitions

ReplyDeleteMany thanks Patsy. I'll have a good look at these later. I have some short pieces of drama that may suit. Has anyone heard the result of the last Irish country mag competition?

Thanks for the competitions.
ReplyDeleteI had my first ALCS payment, which was a lovely surprise. Having only signed up last year, I wasn’t expecting anything. I wouldn’t have known about it without this blog. So, thank you, Patsy.

Thanks, Patsy. I keep intending to write a play or script, and attended a play-writing workshop a couple of years ago, but I still haven't written anything. I'm tied up with a couple of projects at the moment, but I should really have a crack at a play or script when I have more time. Liz
ReplyDeleteThanks for all the competition details Patsy. Much appreciated. Sharon H
ReplyDeleteThank you so much, Patsy.
ReplyDeleteThanks, Patsy. Just wondering if anyone here can confirm what the current rights situation is with Fiction Feast - do they take 'All Rights'? I haven't submitted to them for a long, long, time and spotted a Sally Jenkins post somewhere that says they 'Take All Rights'. Many thanks for your advice. Good wishes. Kate Hogan.
