Patsy, a great interview with lots of tips especially for the writer sensitive to rejection, I love the garden compost one! Sounds like you have had a very interesting life generating lots of material for writing. Well done.
Such a lovely and inspiring write up. Tenacity and talent make a fierce combo. (Obviously I need to put as much effort into my writing as I do into my wine appreciation. Right, I'll just pour myself a glass of Merlot and get a fresh page ready...)
It's good to see the journey you took to get to where you are - as Bendywriter said, inspiring. Turning what ever life throws at you and using it to your advantage :) I guess you could always go back and do the wine course ;)
Really interesting interview Patsy, and how wonderful to be able to turn a negative into a positive. It reminds me of the old saying, apologies that I don't know the origin, "the harder I work the luckier I get." I hope your hard work is rewarded and you have great success with your new novel, you definitely deserve it.
I really enjoyed this interview, Patsy - full of insight into your personal journey and with lots to motivate the aspiring writer in us all. I also love Elizabeth's quote, "The harder I work, the luckier I get" - this is definitely my experience. There is certainly an element of chance, too, though, I think. What if the CW class had been full and you'd taken something else, instead? (Flower-arranging? Welding?)Thank goodness you were in the right place at the right time to set you on track for what turned out to be your element! I love it when things work out as they were clearly meant to be.
Lovely interview, Patsy. Didn't know you were a fellow farmer's daughter! (Although I'm afraid I preferred to hug the Raeburn and read rather than be outdoorsy.)
Great interview, Patsy. I wonder what direction your life would have taken if you'd opted for the wine course? A real sliding doors moment in your life!

Nice interview, Patsy and I loved the compost idea too! Well done on all your successes.
Well done, Patsy. Great publicity.
I'm surprised that creative writing won out over wine, but there you go!

Great interview, Patsy - hope it generates some sales. All good wishes. Kate Hogan.
I really enjoyed your interview and how you changed course in mid-life. It's not easy to do.

An really inspiring interview, to remind us all to just keep going when writing isn't going so well.
Nice interview and over 700 stories published is amazing and truly inspiring! Also glad you had time to complete the novel.
