My Weekly are asking (on their facebook page) if readers prefer serials or shorter stories.
Spirit and Destiny magazine want both ficton and non fiction stories.
Non fiction – "I would love to hear from anyone who has a tale to tell about something spooky, or an angelic encounter, or an experience which has led you to have a strong belief in the afterlife.
Contact Features Editor Tracie Couper at tracie.couper@bauer.co.uk"
Fiction – Starting from next January, stories of around 650 words will be wanted, on themes suitable for this publication. Contact Katy Moon for more information. katy.moon@bauermedia.co.uk
I've requested full guidelines and will post these as soon as I get them (if I do).

Thanks for the news about the new market! Do they pay, do you know?
Payment is £100 for a SP (650-700 words) and £200 for a DPS (1400 words).
Please excuse my ignorance - 'SP'? 'DPS'?
@anonymous Single page and double page spread ie 650 words or 1400 words.
Thanks Patsy for this information. Great to hear of another new market.
Alyson
@ados123 Thanks for that :)
Hmm. I'll have to give it a look. Doubt my stuff matches what they want, but thanks for the heads up.
Is the payment the same for both non-fiction and fiction, do you know?
AK
It's great another market has opened up :) Thanks for posting Patsy.

@ Kackie and Alyson – thanks for answering those questions!
I understand that a longer story is wanted to kickstart fiction in the magazine, but shorter ones will be the norm.
@ AK I believe the figures Jackie has given are for fiction only. I'm unsure about the rates for non fiction – I'll try to find out.
Hi Patsy I have been trying to find the fiction guidelines for Spirit and Destiny with no joy. Do you know if they want stories emailed with an attachment or in the body of the email? Thank you Lisa
@ Lisa – I've attempted to get official guidelines and will try again.
With my own subs, I've sent them as attachments. These have been acknowledged without a request that I do things differently, so I asume that's fine.
